By using Checkify, creating an account, verifying yourself, scanning a Checkify request, or integrating Checkify into a website or business flow, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use Checkify.

3) What Checkify does

Checkify allows users to complete verification steps and share limited proofs with businesses or websites. Examples may include human verification, age-related proofs, identity assurance levels, or other verification results.

Checkify is designed to share proofs where possible, rather than unnecessary personal data.

4) User responsibilities

You agree that you will:

• Provide accurate information where required.
• Use Checkify only for lawful purposes.
• Not attempt to bypass, abuse, reverse engineer, attack, or interfere with the service.
• Not use another person’s identity, device, account, or verification without permission.
• Keep your device and app access secure.

5) Business responsibilities

If you use Checkify as a business, website owner, developer, or relying party, you are responsible for:

• Choosing the correct verification requirement for your use case.
• Complying with laws and regulations that apply to your business.
• Using verification results fairly and lawfully.
• Having a fallback process if Checkify is unavailable or a verification cannot be completed.
• Ensuring your integration is secure and correctly configured.

6) Verification results

Checkify verification results are based on available device, user, and verification evidence at the time of the request. A verification result does not guarantee that a person will always remain eligible, honest, safe, compliant, or suitable for a particular transaction.

Businesses must decide whether a Checkify result is suitable for their own risk, compliance, and operational needs.

7) Privacy

Our use of data is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using Checkify, you also agree to our privacy practices described there.

8) Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect Checkify. However, no system is completely secure, error-free, or always available.

You must tell us promptly if you believe your account, device, key, verification, or integration has been compromised.

9) Availability and changes

We may update, change, suspend, limit, or discontinue parts of Checkify at any time. We may also release new features, change existing features, or remove features that are not working as intended.

We will try to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

10) Fees, credits, and billing

Some Checkify features may be free, while others may require credits, subscriptions, or payment. Pricing, credits, limits, and billing rules may change over time.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, credits and paid features are provided for use within Checkify and have no cash value.

11) Prohibited use

You must not use Checkify to:

• Commit fraud, impersonation, abuse, or unlawful activity.
• Mislead users about what is being requested or shared.
• Collect information without a valid reason or proper consent.
• Attack, scrape, overload, or disrupt Checkify systems.
• Attempt to bypass verification, billing, rate limits, or security controls.

12) Beta / early version notice

Checkify is an early-stage service and may include beta, test, experimental, or first-version features. Some features may be incomplete, unavailable, inaccurate, interrupted, delayed, or may not work as expected.

You agree that you should not rely on Checkify as the only method for critical, safety-sensitive, legal, financial, or compliance decisions unless you have independently confirmed that the service is suitable for your use case.

Businesses using Checkify are responsible for having appropriate fallback processes if Checkify is unavailable, delayed, or produces an unexpected result.

13) Disclaimer

Checkify is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not make warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, fully secure, or suitable for every purpose.

14) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Checkify will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15) Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Checkify if we believe these terms have been breached, if there is a security risk, if required by law, or if continued access could harm Checkify, users, or third parties.

16) Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Checkify after changes means you accept the updated terms.

17) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless mandatory local law gives you additional rights.
